Overuse of antibiotics in animals — and in humans for that matter — causes bacteria to evolve and adapt to resist the threat. This leads to the proliferation of disease-causing bacteria that are resistant to current treatment.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) calls antibiotic resistance "one of the biggest public health challenges of our time." The use of antibiotics as growth promoters in livestock goes back to the 1950s, and it’s only in recent years the public is becoming aware of the consequences. The CDC says in 2013 at least 23,000 Americans died from antibiotic-resistant infections.

Our product has a 4x commercial concentration unlike the competitors. Our product is oil and not watered down.
Look at mixing directions of competitors...mix "ounces" of product. Nubitotic directions are ml (milliliters) per gallon not ounces! You will use far more of their products which will increase costs substantially!
Whether farmers choose to use it or not, there is a strong alternative on the horizon. Numerous recent studies—including several done by the USDA—have shown great promise in using essential oils as an alternative to antibiotics in livestock. One of their studies, published in October 2014 in the journal Poultry Science, found that chickens who consumed feed with added oregano oil had a 59 percent lower mortality rate due to ascites, a common infection in poultry, than untreated chickens. Other research from a 2011 issue of BMC Proceedings, showed that adding a combination of plant extracts—from oregano, cinnamon, and chili peppers—actually changed the gene expression of treated chickens, resulting in weight gain as well as protection against an injected intestinal infection.
Researchers have also directly compared the effects of commonly used antibiotics with those of various essential oils. One such study, from the March 2012 issue of the Journal of Animal Science, found that rosemary and oregano oils resulted in the same amount of growth in chickens as the antibiotic avilamycin, and that the oils killed bacteria, too. Additional findings have shown that essential oils help reduce salmonella in chickens, and another study found that a blend of several oils can limit the spread of salmonella among animals.
While this mainstream move provides many health benefits to humans, removing antibiotics from the diet of poultry creates higher overall mortality rates, smaller sizes and more frequent occurrences of diseases. The biggest concerns are clostridia, which typically leads to necrotic enteritis, as well as Salmonella and Campylobacter, two foodborne bacterial diseases that are exceptionally dangerous to consumers
To combat these common issues, farmers are exploring new industry advancements and resurrecting traditional techniques that promote growth and reduce illness without using antibiotics.
Adding organic supplements to poultry feed and drinking water is the most common remedy. Natural antibiotics, such as plant extracts have been used for decades to prevent bacterial diseases, regulate hormones and enhance nutrition . Despite a shortage of scientific studies examining the effectiveness, a USDA sponsored study showed that oregano oil lowers the death rate from the common abdominal infection ascites by 59 percent.
So this is all natural? Do you recommend it in water all the time, monthly or how for my healthy chickens? Also, what about young chicks?
Yes it is all natural and I do recommend using it all the time in a non commerical setting. Safe for the chickens throughout their life
